<art oozing with nip themes
They only did this because nip anime/manga is more popular than burger comics/cartoon, is a desperate attempt to get those sweet sweet weeb shekels.
This might be great, if it was Star Wars preDisney, but I bet is going to fail just for the fact that the faggots are going to be policing EVERYTHING in Visions and not letting the nips do whatever they want with the IP, is not like they can do more damage than disney did.
What will the outcome of Visions be? Normalfag will love it, only for the reason that weebshit is popular in CY+6

in addition to what I mentioned back then, the Vong are basically the alien invasion trope. yet it's already a galaxy full of aliens, so they come from another galaxy, and it's a stretch. I think they could work if either 1. they're massively nerfed, and are just another species causing a bit of trouble, or 2. the events are placed in the distant past of the galaxy. that way, they wouldn't shatter the universe right after the OT.

>>5258
that's not the case, I have valid reasons for being anti-Vong. they feel like the creation of a WH40k fan who hates Star Wars.

hope you don't mind me upping an old thread btw

In the films and video games, lightsaber users typically default to something like a plow/longpoint/seigan. I don't think these are the worst possible stance, but are really focused on things a lightsaber doesn't really need (lightsabers need relatively little speed/force to do serious damage) and leaves a lot of the body open to blasters.

I think something like saber's outside half-hanging guard would actually be the default for anyone who expects to fight blasters instead of other sabers (basically everyone post-Russan). It lets the user cover a very large portion of their body with ease just by shoulder movements (only very bottom of the feet aren't protected here, and those are a pretty poor blaster target as is). It allows advancing quickly with relatively little loss in coverage and for someone like Kyle Katarn, it allows quickly drawing a blaster and shooting people who are overly focused on your saber.

How do you think saber combat ought to do differently than it's normally depicted?

Why does Yoda use a short saber then?
Replies: >>5714
>>5713
Proper control, precision, the blade is proportional to his size. How a midget would effectively use what amounts to a lance? Even with a lightsaber proportional to his size he needed to hop around like a frantic frog to face human sized foes. It isn't a question of mere weight there.
Replies: >>5881
>>5714
Lance doesn't really depend on your height if it's in a lance rest. Long spear actually works pretty fine on a short individual.
I disagree with some of his points but I think overall it's pretty sound:

>>5629 (OP)
In a real fight, yeah you would use a lightsaber different then you used a normal sword. But that shit looks gay so they went with something that's visually appealing to normalfags.

Most EAW mods like Fall of the republic and Republic at war just copy pasted most of the unit dialog from it. The ships use voice lines from the Republic Air cruiser unit.

Corey needs to get rid of that faggot who voiced the rebel star destroyer carrier. Actual meme cringe voice acting.

Now we all know Vader couldn't win after his injuries, so i have no delusions that he has a fighting chance, at least directly, a fully intact Vader/Anakin? Yeah definitely he would obliterate Sheev, but the Vader we got? No, especially since Palpi deliberately made his suit shitty as well, what i am asking is would it be a quick or long fight? Vader reached 80% of Palpatine's power even with all his injuries and loses. So would it be a thrilling fight for the emperor or would he wipe the floor with his apprentice immediately? Let's say Vader reaches his fullest potential that he could reach with all his injuries, he taps deeper than ever before into the dark side or just the force itself in its entirety, i think he could still sustain himself for a little while after Uncle Palps shocks his suit, so how long and how brutal would the fight be? would it give Sidious a run for his money or would he not even break a sweat?
Replies: >>5674

He threw him into a trash can
In "Dark Lord" Palpatine was on the opinion that Vader blocks were psychological ones, so he had go get the guy out his depression "at his own risk". In "Shadows of Empire" Vader managed to temporarily heal his own lungs and breath unaided for minutes, so yes, a Vader that truly and fully embraced the Dark Side would mop the floor with the Emperor.
Remember how Jacen managed to achieve an state of unity with the Force to the point of glowing, how Krayt managed to learn Cade technique and return from the dead, so Vader who was leagues ahead of them fully immersed in the Dark Side would like a walking Force Nexus.
