The in-spot for appreciation of Jazz and its multiple off-shots, chiefly among them the flamboyant and ever-shifting Fusion genre along with some House and its evolution into Nü-Jazz.
Pieces and solo-ing samples along with actual tiny bits of history (usually) will be served once in a while for performer context.
These genres usually have the particularity that the bands are very temporal and/or have members with extensive side works so i will probably post the line-ups too in the webm dumps.
Also fusion albums move very closely in the border of jazz, rock and funk so it won't be rare to post music that could very well fit into other genres, especially progressive rock.

Aaand i was supposed to post the webms by now but i wanted to write about Shawn's history along with his buddy Jonas Hellborg... but i don't remember where i left that notepad and i also don't recall the exact details of what i wrote.
I have a folder chuck filled with their careers but not a lot in my mind to explain it decently so i am going to post and write on the go if as i was asked out of nowhere in the day of his birthday who and what was Shawn Lane, a man who is still considered by some as a candidate for an undercover higher entity disguising as a person and chief definition example of overplaying the fills.

Shawn Lane was born a March 21th in Memphis, Tennessee, the so-called Cradle of Rock n' Roll which despite its many memes actually did end up giving birth to a titan artist post-Elvis, at least in what respects pure guitar playing which is somewhat of an irony taking into account guitar was at the end of the day actually his second instrument.
His rise to his speed-based shenanigans seems to be that he seemed to be born with hyperactivity and some form of nervous system problem which rendered his fingers to react or seem to move faster than usual, which coupled with a refined alternate picking gave way to absurd bpm counts which were not heard of in the 70's, something he could also replicate with the keys.
He played piano from early age to accompany his sisters, later he fondled the guitar but didn't take it seriously until he was 12, at 14 he was already the main guitar player for a relatively known band in the US Black Oak Arkansas although for touring days only. But around these dates he would also deal with his eventual demise, psoriasis and what's worse the arthritic kind of it, usually attributed/mentioned on par with his nervous system characteristics. Some speculate he didn't often play at full speed due to this which is hilarious to think in some way; in the first webm we can see a pretty fast but still primitive or "simple" shredding, still by 1979 this was years before some others did in the

Very neat anon! I am a major fan of demoscene music, while not the same, I would consider it closely related to electronic music. My favorite is that made by Purple Motion.

Unreal 2 for Second Reality demoscene by Future Crew. A all time favorite of mine. Second Reality is considered to be one of the all time best demoscenes.

An experimental thread in line with other animal-themed threads/boards. Viverridae are one of my favourite families, and I think they at long last deserve their own space.

My favourite viverrid is probably the Binturong. What's yours?

I give thanks for /server/ being included in the icup. I had fun watching, I was surprised to see /v/ losing against /cuckquean/ 3 - 6. Funniest moment was at the end of the match of /late/&/comfy/ vs /dup/, when both goal keepers couldn't catch the ball at all. If anyone captured it as a vid I'd be up for seeing it again.

Williams were really good with their pinball machines. Although I'm not a pinball fanatic, the two tables that stuck with me the most were Swords of Fury and The Twilight Zone. The former because the music was kinda dynamic as it starts off kind small, then it builds on top of itself as you progress further into the game. The multiball theme is kinda rockin', too. Twilight Zone was different since I was a fan of the classic series, and I really liked the gumball mechanic and the references to some cut material like The Power. I didn't know the main theme for the table was taken from Twilight Zone by Golden Earring, specifically around the middle section when it breaks down and it is just the riff playing followed by a guitar solo. Honorable mention goes to Black Knight 2000 since Ritchie provided his voice for the soundtrack and Forden also worked on it, too. I've seen the table for Black Knight a few years ago, but I didn't get to play on it sadly. Pinball machines are a sleeper when it comes to good music, and Williams were one of the few American companies with a competent sound team in terms of FM. Fun fact: Brian Schmidt, the composer of BK 2000 and SoF, would go on to work for Microsoft, specifically in the Audio department for the Original Xbox and created the start-up sound for the console.

I liked the theme song from BK 2000 so much, that I composed it on the online nokia composer:

Hopefully someone is still lurking on this sub-board thread whatever you call it. I have been working extensively on making music for my agdg adventures, exclusively using LMMS. I want the game to perfectly reflect a late 90s/early 00s artystyle, and that extends to the music and sound design as well. I have been listening to a lot of Eurodance from that time period (such as ATC and Centory (latter is mp3 related)) in an attempt to break them down and see what they're made of. Unfortunately this is very difficult, even more so considering I have very little background in music. I can hear each of the individual tracks and instruments, but when I try to make something similar it all falls apart.
So where would I even begin with something like this? I have been studying music theory at its most basic level and I am having a difficult time seeing how it all applies to actually making music. I've been fucking around with LMMS on and off for about six years at this point, and while I have definitely improved from my beginnings, I still wish I was better at it. I guess I'm looking for any kind of advice on how to do this shit.

I'm still here. I'm not sure if I can be much help with this as you may be further into this than I am. I've been looking into music trackers like MilkyTracker, which supports .mod and .xm files. There are lots of game music files with those file formats, so that may help to see how they are made.
>>1446
Can you find any MIDI files that would be helpful to look at? Being able to examine pieces of music like that really helped me improve musically.

Hello /server/,

ICUP 7 is still being worked on, and progress is still steady, but we need your help. If you have a good PC enough to run PES 2017 and to stream it, or if you are willing to commentate, please contact us at anon.cafe/icup/. Currently we have three potential streamers, but the more the merrier.

In regards to your team, you seem to be missing the team strategies. These comprise of cards assigned to players that allow them to have different playing styles as well as a formation, which also includes different offensive and defensive strategies. Here are some wiki links for more info:
https://infinitycup.miraheze.org/wiki/Player_Cards
https://infinitycup.miraheze.org/wiki/Team_Strategies

The only other missing are some anthems and goalhorns. You need at least an anthem and a goalhorn, but if you want you can also assign different goalhorns to different players and also have a victory anthem. There’s an audio posted here >>1322 but I want to ask if that’ll be the anthem that you guys will be using or if you want to use something else.

Finally, if you are capable of doing 3D modelling, creating OC, working on the wiki or just helping in any way possible
