Collab Guidelines
E.G. The do's and don't's of advertising /l/ off-site.
1) Please avoid advertising our board during a crisis unless the thread/discussion on the website in question is discussing banning it from their platform. This board is not interested in stealing disgruntled users.
2) Please be on your best behavior when advertising us so as to avoid ill will towards our board. By advertising /l/, you are acting as a board ambassador and people will associate us with your attitude whether it's accurate to the board or not.
3) Please do not advertise our board in bad faith or in such a way as to intentionally cause drama off-site or on-site.
4) When advertising /l/ does not come up naturally in a conversation, please be creative in promoting us with the use of images, puns, etc.
I won't try to stop or report anon on other websites so long as he follows these guidelines. Good neighbours make for good company, and we don't want to be bad neighbours, friends.
The "collab ban" will be lifted on Friday, October 8th 2021.

This board has been claimed by the cutest rabbit. Surrender your power cords immediately or suffer the consequences.

>Who the fuck is Pipkin Pippa?
The cutest rabbit, who enjoys browsing (and possibly posting) on imageboards. She goes on a lot of tangents.
>What kind of content does she produce?
Mostly chill gaming streams with lots of talking about related and unrelated issues. Also some meme vids. She is up to all the latest interwebz news.
>Where does that bunny hang out?
Youtube for streams and vods: https://www.youtube.com/c/PipkinPippa
Twitter for updates: https://twitter.com/pipkinpippa
>What else should I know?
Maybe turn down your volume when first tuning in. The rabbit is easily excited.

For real though, the thought that in this day and age, there are women who play autism games blows my mind. I didn't have that growing up, and I'm too old now, so I hope there are some people out there who appreciate it.

How have your tastes changed since you got into vtubers?
When I first started watching, my favorite at Hololive was Miko followed by Pekora (this was still when PekoMiko was a thing) and Korone and my favorites at Nijisanji were Roa and Ars. My favorite indie/third party might have actually been Mea.
Now the only Holos I regularly keep up with are Nene, Luna, Watame, and Aqua. Himawari and Sasaki are the only Nijis I still watch. I haven't watched any indie/third party chuubas in like a year; I think the last one was Uto.

When I started, I watched a lot of Matsuri, Pekora, Coco, and Miko because I thought they were funny. Then the elitist-fags got mad at me for having fun and I was pressured into branching off into more "traditionalists" that were playing games I liked like Subaru and Korone along with a number of indies. I liked those too, but deep down what I really wanted to watch were idols and girls who discussed their daily lives/blogposted to fill the gap when blogposting became a bannable offense across several webring members that previously allowed it all at once, which got me into Nene, Watame, Ina, and a few (different) vtuber groups like PRISM Project's members since they filled that gap. Never really got into Nijisanji mostly because of the stigma against them.

To be honest I haven't really watched very many vtubers in the last several months other than some friends occasionally recommending Pippa or Botan streams because of other things (namely that big war in Slavland and the US Elections since war discussion and politics-posting are some of my other hobbies), but I've found myself getting drawn back into the fray with Yokato, Pikamee, and Sara Nagare once more.

I remember those folks saying that only newfags had Miko, Pekora, or Korone as their oshii. Strange for elitists to hate the elite.

>How have your tastes changed since you got into vtubers?
I'm not sure they have. I got into it with Korone's DooG clips, and the first things I watched were Okayu's SMRPG VODs.

At the time, I was pretty bought into OkaKoro. Still am, but I have since learned that SubaOka is also peak. That endurance run of Mario 64 especially. I wish more of the girls did retrogames; I rarely jump the language barrier for anything else. Koyori I've come to enjoy quite a bit. I wonder if she stopped using the autotranslator because it would sometimes talk about rape? I was initially more interested in Lui, but her aesthetics changed rather oddly. I found Iroha a little flat since debut, but after hearing about her problems I started listening occasionally.

I have IRyS' RE:0 VOD open right now, and she's as fun as ever. I became a fan of her's when she did RE1. Calli's been doing a Pokemon nuzlocke, which has been pretty good. Fuwamoco should be designated a national treasure.

As for Niji, I loved Suzuhara Lulu and how she'd sometimes do silly things at the start of the stream, like eating Dracula. I liked the animated run cycle in Hayase Sou's opening screen, and her singing. I had liked Yashiro's retrogaming back in 2020, and checked in on him a few days ago and saw that he recently did a DKC race with Himawari. I remember her from back then, too— the two of them did a "quiz" bit where Yashiro asked her who the newly elected president of the US was, and she answered "Watson Bakery." I had watched Nui Sociere a bit, but couldn't connect to her personality.

I'm watching Salome play OoT right now. She is delightful ですわ.

I like Amanogawa Shiina and Eepy Sleepy, though the Phase Connect girls in general are too cynical for me. I think Kannagi Loki and Ayase Yuu have 11/10 models, which might be a sign that I've become desensitized to the cartoonier, more saturated designs of Hololive.

As for indies, I can't say I ever really watch any of the ones I track. I can't remember if POSUTUBE actually uses an avatar for streaming, and I seem to be IP banned from youtube this month so I can't find out, lol.

I have a messed up schadenfreude. I love watching vtubers talk about how terrible their life is as a way of making me feel like my life is great.
Started with Kronii, but then she kept talking about her vacations and normie stuff, so I left.
Then Pippa, and boy was she great for a while and still sorta is. But then she talks about "going out drinking with friends" and loses me.
I'm in the middle of finding my next complete loser to commiserate with.

Yeah, that's the sort of stuff for why we're here. I kind of get conspiratorial about how much the vtuber chans are secretly just controlled by the vtuber corpos themselves.

I'm filling up the Pippa thread with this, so I'll move to another thread. Idk if it should be a PC general thread or whatever. I figure the board is dead enough, anyways.

Use this thread to post about and recommend your favourite indie VTubers.
As an example, here's Hina, a Virtual Youtuber focused on farming and cultivation of tomatoes. She also composes her own music, does stuff for Comiket, and even subtitles her own videos in English.

Almost 1 year bump. I have more demands. Here is the list in order of importance.
1 - Doesn't get drunk/talk about drinking. I don't care about being seiso, but I've bad experiences w/alcohol and alcoholics in general.
2 - Not from Hololive. Nothing against them, but I just want to view more of the space. Preferably indie.
3 - Doesn't have a high pitched voice. I can understand/listen to higher pitched voices, but something about it absolutely drains me. I'm pretty sure I have some sort of neurological/audiological disorder, or maybe >>2294 has a point or something, idk.
4 - Mainly plays _games_ (or drawing streams are pretty kino, I guess) as opposed to doing yap spaces or "Here's my mom on the stream" or weird one-offs. Basically they have their escapist interests and will do a 40-part series on it, chat be damned–and not bring up real life.
5 - Not afraid to have dead air from time to time.
6 - Preferably a doomer girl failure to make me feel good about myself. I understand that this is nigh contradictory w/#1.

1-3 are hard requirements, 4-6 would be nice.

Welcome to the arena. Despair, ye who enter here. The arena is something of a venting thread. If you have beef with another anon or with a specific vtuber that is getting out-of-hand, you may have discussion moved to this thread. If you want to discuss negative or obtuse meta content of a vtuber such as a boyfriend fuck list or actual pictures of the actress, you must do it here, or on a different board/website.

This thread is still moderated, however rules 0 and 6 do not apply here. Have at each other to your heart's content. Please hide this thread by default if this is content you do not wish to see. I would hide it too, if I had the choice. If anon ever gets to the point where he's exclusively only lurking this thread, new rules may come up. At the end of the day, your oshi is a real girl. She may show gratitude and appreciate her fans, but she does not love you.

EDIT: As a reminder, please familiarize yourself with the Global Rules of anon.cafe as Romania has laws regarding unlawful violation of privacy and doxxing that this site is beholden to. Should you choose to personally investigate matters, you do so at your own risk. My legal take on this unless the site owner disagrees and corrects me, is that if the information was publicly available at one time, then it does not fall under the Romanian criminal code unl

8chan died years ago, friend (in 2019, IIRC).
It's 8moe, btw. It's not just /vt/ that went there, so the site's hardware has been struggling. Holos went to their tower, and are accommodating refugees for now if they play nice. Less than a day after the great migration all get hit with the Gura graduation announcement for their stress test. It was prophesied that Gura's graduation would break /vt/. Turns out 4chan would be broken hours before Gura's graduation. This is no 9/11, this is WW3, the 4chanmageddon.
Replies: >>2293
Is /l/ even ready to take in just a fraction of the horde? So far /vt/ is liking 8moe's features and the holos the tower's moderation. The only pariah is /#/ and they are currently confined in a ghetto of a cyclical thread. I think the rules of /l/ render them incompatible here, and supposedly other sites have rejected them. Yes, they consider themselves ((( # ))) at this point, even seem to relish that comparison. At least the IDs are helping them weed out their worst, and would like to use this as proof that they aren't all that bad.

I'm just glad anons are getting enlightened to the superiority of altchan features. The only thing that was lacking was the number of users to reach critical mass. And if the numbers do grow, how even a vastly outnumbered moderator team can make a difference by just giving a fuck.
