For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders.

People on New Years:
>WOHOO FIREWORKS!

All their pets:
<Why are the humans trying to shoot rockets at God again? They just celebrated his birthday last week. THEY DO THIS EVERY YEAR!

Finish school by the end of the year, hopefully.
Find a good place to live.
Pay off my truck and get it repaired.

A bunch of other stuff, but 3 is enough for a goal rn.

They tell me this is 'The year of the Snek'. Is this why the baste Chinese have amazing drone display of a yuge dragon?

DUDE YOU'VE GOTTA ADMIT THIS IS A SPECTACLE! :D

How do they even control such a horde without crashing them into each other?
Replies: >>3899

Are you asking because you think they're controlled by humans, or because the software is Chinese?

Neither. It's simply an incredibly-difficult engineering & control task, I'd imagine. Absolutely amazing thing to watch as well, very creative!

It's certainly stunning to think about everything that came together to make this show possible, but the drones already come with most of the infrastructure to accomplish this.

I don't have much planned, but I'm not looking forward to the end of the Christmas season. I feel like it's going so fast, and the Christmas ambiance is one of the only things I like about winter.

I wish I could slow down time.

Oops, thought this was a Christmas thread. Still wish it would be more normalized to celebrate the season into the new year. I think it's kind of lame that people seem to want to wrap everything up almost right after they're done opening their presents on Christmas Day.

Some real classical Americana right there! I feel like we've transported back into the film It's a Wonderful Life. I hope somebody plays that film this festival season.

Lol, no worries. :D

Indeed. The traditional Christmastide season extends well into the new year in fact. And here on /christmas/ , we keep the 'doors open' until after Orthodox Christmas has past.

Christmas Cheers, Anon. :)

Something about old-school Christmas scenery just feels more appropriate to me. A lot of modern Christmas scenery and decor I just think comes across as sterile and comparatively lacking in warmth and gemuetlichkeit.

I only first got around to seeing that movie as an adult, and so it doesn't have any real nostalgic value for me compared to my childhood favorites, but I think it's one of the best Christmas movies I've seen.

Agreed. Comfy is comfy.

May be a good time to see it again soon?

Yeah, could be worth another watch this year. I've seen it maybe two or three times, but it's not something I feel like I could use a break from.
